To promote the use of high-quality subjects free from the main hereditary pathologies in breeding, the ENCI  established a special Register. Dogs that, during the morphological evaluation, obtained the required qualification and, if required, presented the certification attesting the absence of genetic diseases can be registered. Puppies born from the union of studs and broods registered in this Register — or from foreign stallions not registered in the Italian stud book but with equivalent characteristics — will receive a special pedigree (pink color) attesting their value.
